For all the developers out there, your submissions to the OUYA store will now finally be accepted as games set to appear on the store come March 28. Meet the March 28 deadline, and OUYA will do their best to promote the hell out of your game if you end up being one of the top three games after the first six weeks. Originally the company had a test run of the storefront, but all that has been wiped and from here on out sh*t gets real.
The submission process seems easy enough: submit your game, and upon approval per the official content guidelines, your game is up on the store. It appears that this system is going to be a halfway point between the Google Play and iTunes systems, where it's a pretty open store upon a light approval process. An added plus: once the game is up, you are able to update your title free for life.
So how does one submit their game? All you have to do is head over to the dev portal on OUYA's site, and upload your sweet game. I'm thinking of seeing if I can whip something up myself in the next couple weeks (given my limited programming experience), and seeing what I can come up with. Want to do the same? Download the development kit for yourself and give it a shot!
